Making the most of the space
Measure first. With the rear seat up, toyota.com lists 37.8 in. of floor length behind the rear seat and a minimum cargo width of 39.4 in., so a long or wide box is worth measuring before you go to the store.
Fold one side. The 60/40 split rear seat lets you fold the larger or smaller section for long items while a passenger keeps the other seat.
Use the deck board. Every grade has a height-adjustable rear cargo area deck board, so the cargo floor height can be changed.
Check your garage. Toyota.com lists the 2026 RAV4 at 66.5 in. high; if you carry anything on the roof rails, allow for it before you pull into a low garage.
